Clark Material Handling Company (CMHC) is based in Lexington, Kentucky. It started as a manufacturer of transmissions and axles for automobiles. Nowadays, its forklift production plant is in South Korea.

According to the company, there are currently 350,000 Clark forklift trucks operating around the world. The company offers over 20 different models. Clark is credited with inventing the world's first truck with a hydraulic lifting mechanism in 1920.
